I ride in a motorcycle club.We ride from california to vegas and also from calif. to phoneix. I bought the Volar 520 with 110 links for my 1993 CBR 900RR. It lasted a little over a year with brand new sprockets front and rear.

Possibly bad durability/quality, but service was great and I am buying another. The first time I had it professionally installed and found that an O-ring was torn and pinched between two plates where the hollow pin was pushed most of the way through. This was probably installer error due to the links they removed, but the damage was done to the master link and D2moto did not sell replacements. They did happily give me replacement O-rings that they obtained when removing links from another chain, so I was able to. I found and ordered what appeared to be an identical master link from another source under a different name brand. A month later, I noticed grinding noises that would vary in intensity when I would lube the chain or adjust the slack. Eventually, I noticed that many roller links were completely gone or only half there (C-shaped) and had been chewing up my new sprockets! I had changed them in anticipation of a cross-country trip and then I had to go to an old, used, emergency replacement chain with the only rear sprocket available locally (ridiculously small compared to stock) and the damaged front sprocket! That said, I am buying it again because I can't beat the price and I am curious to know if that was all a cascading effect from the original installer error and having it adjusted much too tight after servicing the bike at shop before a long ride home. Cosmetically, the chain looks nicer than the blue chain I once got from eBay (color looked like a painted toy), but the paint does begin flaking rather quickly.

This is one of the best chain I ever used and I was very impressed with the fit and quality of the Volar Motorsport O-Ring Chain! The size was perfect. I have been using Volar O-ring chains because all the rave reviews I read about them. Also most of my buddies are using Volar chains and they never have any issue with them. I ride my bike every single day. It's been over a month & I do lube it about every other day but have not needed to adjust (tighten) it yet! I think I am going to continue to use Volar O-Ring Chain chains.
